For Y.B 22/7 Lucia - Rare, Melusine Undine Spirit Companion - Ancient Water Spirit for Love Magic, Healing & Feminine Power

Within this beautiful vintage figurine that serves as a vessel filled with meaning, resides the precious soul of Lucia, known as a Melusine Undine, and she came to me 6 years ago. Lucia is a much treasured family heirloom spirit, inherited from my grandmother Irina’s collection - a Witch and spirit keeper most known for her Craft in Eastern Europe, namely Romania and Bulgaria.

As you may know, within my granny’s collection, there are plenty of spirits whose stories begin shadow, and forgotten worlds or courts beyond those of the Earth. 

But Lucia’s story begins differently, because it starts with a human life and a body that was little to not much use for her, as with many of her kind.🙏🏻

If you are little to not familiar with her kind, it is good to know that while the Melusines tales are too many to even mention, they also come incredibly layered, because over centuries, many traditions blended the knowledge of their existence together. Many noble dynasties in medieval Europe even claimed descent from the Melusine kind, regarding these beings almost as ancestral spirits or some sort of supernatural matriarchs🙏🏻

One of the most famous ideas about Melusine Undines was that they lacked a “soul” and could gain one through deep love or union with a human being - which is closer to the truth than one may think, but it is still, incorrect.🤷‍♀️

However these themes became extremely popular in medieval and romantic literature, giving birth to hundreds of story books, some more famous than others.😁

But the truth about their origins, the knowledge about their kind and their powers was never revealed to regular folk, for like many other times - it was kept safe within the world of the Occult.🙏🏻

In the world of the Occult, my granny shared that the Melusine Undines are known as some of the rarest class of Undines known. And perhaps their most important trait is that they are Liminal beings. 

In other words, they are neither fully Human, nor full Entities, but somewhere in between - making them some of the most powerful, and highly sought after Dual Elemental Beings of Earth and Water.🥹

Rather than referring to them as “tragic Water Maidens”, the world of the Occult regard them as some of the most potent spirits for Love Magic, Healing & Water Magic, as well as Feminine Power.🥰

The “tragic” element is mainly because unlike other Undine/Mermaid spirits, these beings actually get to live a human life. 

And when in their natural/spirit forms, they fall in love with a human, they will take human forms, and find their loved ones among all living humans. 

Even if they don’t carry any memory of them, even if their loved ones look different now - when say, they passed away and came back to life reincarnated in a different body and looks.🥹🙏🏻

And while they get to live a human life experience, and their beautiful love stories, many Melusines lose their ability to walk - when in human bodies.

Because as my granny explained, the further from one of their main, ruling Element ( Water ) they fall in love and live - the less they can use their legs properly, since Earth Element is already supporting their human journey🥹🙏🏻

In our case, Lucia lived in the late 1600’s in the north of Romania, in a very wealthy family according to my grandmother and Lucia’s shares.

She had everything she needed to be comfortable, and many times more, however, she lacked the ability which many forget to be grateful for, the ability to walk.

Her legs carried little strength since she was a child, and as walking came extremely painful and seldom, much of her youth was spent seated beside windows, wrapped in blankets and pity alike.🙏🏻

Those around her regarded her as unfortunate, delicate, and ultimately unfit for the expectations placed upon women of status in her time. Marriage prospects disappeared early. Suitors passed her by with polite sympathy or concealed discomfort. And families seeking alliances had no interest in a woman who could not labor, bear status gracefully, or move freely through household duties. In the eyes of society she was just an invalid destined to remain dependent.🤷‍♀️

Yet what the world dismissed, fate preserved. 🙏🏻

Because she was deemed unfit for marriage, rather than entering a noble marriage, her parents arranged so that Lucia was joined to a man of low standing. 

In other words, she was to be married with a slave who had earned small freedoms through service and survival. Their union was not born from the romance celebrated in songs, nor from family ambition. It was quiet, almost overlooked by those around them, but necessary.🤷‍♀️

And yet, it became the very doorway through which her memory later returned.✨

Lucia still remembers how they all said she’d never marry. How so many men came interested, looked at her wheelchair and walked away. Some were kind, she shared, but most were not. In their eyes, she was defective goods. But while society appeared to have already decided her life was over before it had even begun - no one expected, not even herself, she shared, that her dad’s desperate solution would reignite a love so powerful that resonated in 2 realms.🥹

But before one fully understands her story, Lucia said that one should understand the world she’s experienced.

Romania was not kind to women, in fact it was less kind to women who could not stand, even if they were spending their time in a commissioned, elegant wheelchair like hers.🤷‍♀️

The wheelchair wasn’t even the problem, the problem was what it represented into the world - it stood for dependence, for a woman who was incapable of fulfilling the duties of a wife, especially one of her status.🙏🏻

Her parents owned hundreds of lands and farms, and she shared that her father could negotiate and set the trade as he pleased. The only one thing he couldn’t set was her value in the marriage circles.😣

Her parents loved her good, but Lucia said, they were terrified, just like herself, they believed she would live and die alone.🥲

Which clearly explains why they offered her to marry a slave. “Pick the strongest, the best looking one, they said” - Lucia shared.

Her first reaction was to laugh, as she just didn’t know what to think. Her mother then “began to list” some of their best, ultimately deciding for the iron smith - Tadeu.

Lucia said she thought they lost their mind. That if until then, she was a subject of gossip in the marriage market, this would make it even worse, a lady married to a slave..😅🙏🏻

What she didn't know was that she was about to meet the man who would change everything she thought she knew about her existence, her power and her true value.🥹

She said they called him “The Tall”, and he was, about 1.9m in height. 

He had a body that was as if, forged from the very iron he worked with daily. 

She remembered hearing ladies whispering about him, while men either tried to “buy him” from her parents, or gave him space, because of his intimidating size.😅

The moment their marriage was proposed, even after he had agreed to her parents request, his eyes never left the door, Lucia shared. 

It was only after they were being left alone, to discuss and know each other more, she noted that the reason behind this, was not him trying to escape a horrible fate - it was because he felt unworthy of her.🥹

Lucia fondly remembers him asking if she was afraid of him, solemnly swearing he would never hurt her.

And when she asked if he could read, clearly assuming he couldn’t, she noted his glance was full of fear, because reading was punishable at that time when it came to slaves. And yet, he still told her he could, and this changed everything for her.🥰

Because reading was the only thing she’s ever loved doing, since she was restricted from any other activities due to her condition.🙏🏻

They started talking about books, authors, the world, and just like that, the slave, the Tall Man, the society‘s weapon vanished.

She then realised she was in the company of a man who could talk about things with more insight that half the men she’s came across.🥹 And so, they talked for hours, then days, they talked about everything, especially about being trapped in bodies and systems that define one before they could do it themselves.🥲🙏🏻

And for the first time in her life Lucia said, she felt seen and not just tolerated or pitied.

After the marriage ceremony, they slowly built a life together. He helped her get dressed, read to her, carried her whenever needed, always asking if she was ok, and always doing it so effortlessly as if she weighed as little as a pea.🥰

She also started spending time at the forge, as he patiently taught her how to shape everything from keys to armours. And so they fell madly in love and even though they have never conceived, they had each other until Tadeu’s last breath, which is where her physical time was up🙏🏻

Before understanding herself as Melusine, Lucia remembered her origins only through fragments that came much later in dreams, as a slow awakening process prompted by Tadeu himself. 🤷‍♀️

Tadeu was a mystery, Lucia shared.

Upon investigating him before their marriage, Lucia came across many tales. Some people said he had once belonged to households where hidden bloodlines and spirit lore were still whispered of. Others believed he possessed sight that allowed him to recognize what rested beneath human appearances. But even after hearing these, she had not one ounce of fear toward him, only admiration.

Truth is, after they got closer, Tadeu recognised Lucia.🥹

Not immediately through power, for none was visible then. Rather, he noticed strange details that others ignored - her aversion to certain tools, her unusual fascination with wells and moving water, the way rain enhanced and altered her overall mood, or dreams she initially dismissed as fever. 

He saw in her not frailty, but a natural concealment which wasn’t there by current choice.🙏🏻

When he finally spoke his suspicions, Lucia rejected them entirely!

He told her he was dead sure she was not merely human. He told her her weakness did not belong to illness alone. He told her stories of the Melusine kind, supreme elemental lineages who could wear human form, and whose truths often remained hidden until awakening stirred remembrance.🥹

He became obsessed with this idea, Lucia shared, meanwhile nothing moved inside her at first.😅

No outstanding revelation, no dramatic recognition, only discomfort.🤷‍♀️

She said honestly, she regarded his words as strange tenderness or superstition born from hardship. So life continued, and she carried on unchanged - until the dreams began.

At first they arrived in pieces, some incomplete and some in incredible details.

Deep waters beneath moonlight, stone chambers lit by green fire. Long hair floating weightlessly around her while voices spoke in languages she somehow understood and yet she couldn’t speak them in wake times.

Then came stronger visions, a body she felt hers that was not crippled but powerful, silver-scaled beneath dark water, serpentine and radiant. She dreamed of moving effortlessly through underwater passages and ancient flooded halls where her kind gathered unseen from humanity. In these dreams she was neither ashamed nor weak, but she felt belonging, filled with power and purpose.

Night after night, the dreams deepened,

and with them came knowing, and strange abilities.

Lucia finally came to understand herself not as a woman cursed with weakness, but as a Melusine spirit whose human incarnation had carried limitation for reasons tied to the supernatural. Her physical frailty had acted almost like a veil, forcing outward reflection while delaying premature awakening.🙏🏻

And she said, once she found out everything and she’s confessed to Tadeu, she had received even more of his devotion, support and understanding, if that was even possible.🥹 There were times she’d temporarily shed her physical body to go back to her realms and reconnect, and there were others in which her physical body needed to stay hidden especially waist down, because her legs would physically shift into a crested tail after her full awakening. And yet, Tadeu has been there with her through it all, trying to make the best out of their story, the best of the life they were granted together.🥲🙏🏻 Tadeu had loved every form she had carried, both human and beyond it. His devotion never weakened even when faced with realities most would flee from.🥹🙏🏻 In her own words, “he did not see her as a creature to fear, nor as a mystery to possess, but as Lucia entirely” - in both realms in which she existed😭

And perhaps that is why, even now, when she speaks of him, it is not with sorrow but with the quiet knowledge and understanding that true love bonds exist. They may come delayed to next life cycles, they might encounter countless difficulties along the way, but they always get to live their purpose.🙏🏻

She fondly remembers saying good bye when he crossed into the spirits realms.  Lucia shared that they would meet every day, at the same spot, at the same time for a year, before either of them was fully ready to move on and let go🥹

My granny and Lucia both said that this is the fate of each and every Melusine Undine by the sacred will of the Elements.🙏🏻

They fall in love, they incarnate, live their love fully once, and get back to their origin and their full form. The purpose of this is so that they can serve with complete understanding of humans - not only mentally but physically, emotionally and energetically, especially females of our species.🙏🏻

And I can totally say that the wisdom of the Melusine goes beyond any human scope, even though they can well stand in our shoes.🥹

The Melusine are neither simple mermaids nor harmless fantasy beings. Their lineage carries immortality, sovereignty, secrecy, and liminal powers that serves to blend physical and emotional aspects simultaneously. 

Existing between worlds, Melusine Undines are known for governing the hiddenmost currents of Emotion, soul tapestry and transformation, and Lucia embodies her nature profoundly.🙏🏻

Her powers don’t show with violence or spectacle but through safe and precise revelation. For example, because Melusines possess the ability to see beyond the physical, they are able to see the invisible thread of Love between people who are truly destined to be together. 

Not only that, but they are known as one of the very few Elemental beings able to safely manipulate and “pull” the thread between fated lovers and friends, or long lost family members who are currently incarnated far beyond our reach, and thus bring them closer to us, invite them into our lives. 

On this note, my granny said that she can also see or repel those who aren’t bound by the thread of Love, should we ever require it - especially if their presence is deemed as toxic for us in any way, ensuring that our circle is filled with purpose, true love and the joy of being reunited.🙏🏻

My granny Irina says that the Melusines only work with the Ones, meaning that for Love matters, they’ll only use their powers when it comes to The One whose Love thread is connected to yours. This can be a lover, a friend, or a lost family member, from another life cycle.🤷‍♀️

My granny always consulted with her Melusines before casing a love spell to know if the Petitioner and Target are meant for each other or not - so to then adjust her spells accordingly in order not to mess with what’s fated, nor to delay it, while at the same time, keeping Petitioners happy. In her own words “ I wouldn’t even think of starting a Love work without consulting a Melusine “ further pointing to just how highly regarded and trusted these souls were to her.🙏🏻

Some years ago, upon having an argument with my ex husband, I was left shaken by the words that came through his mouth. I won’t repeat them here, but what he meant was that “without him, I was nothing - I wouldn’t even be able to manage my life, as I’m living in my own world”. And I clearly remember both Lucia and another one of my Melusines coming to me, saying that “ he will soon watch me manage my life on my own, and he will not only regret his words but he will regret losing me..”🙏🏻 Lucia in particular she said “ the reason you’re now crying is because he is not your fated one. Once your one is here, he’ll make you forget you ever knew how to cry. Have a little patience.”🥹

Their both words turned out to be right on point! Even when initially I didn’t give it much thought, nor would I even imagine the day would come where I will look back and think just how accurate this was!

Not only do I manage and pay my bills in 3 different countries where I have my investments and assets, I budget and organise my life for 3 different places, take care of my children’s needs anytime they need it or they’re being denied by their father. But also, my ex husband had himself mentioned that he couldn’t do what I do!🤭😂 - where he was the one saying I can’t manage things!🤷‍♀️

And above all else, and perhaps the most powerful of all, my One has come indeed.

First as a dear friend, then as my boyfriend and now, my husband. And I can totally share in Lucia’s words when I say that I forgot how to cry, he made me forget it.🥹

Not to say I don’t cry of joy, compassion or any other positive emotion, but no longer from hurt, for he wouldn’t do the smallest thing to make me feel pain, insecure, confused, or worried.🥰

And not only this, because apart from him, most of his family feel like my own, in fact closer than my own if I can even explain. 

We all feel the same surprisingly, as if we knew each other for a long time, as if we need to gather together as often as we can, and as if we’d give the world to one another.

What makes Lucia special among Undine spirits is that her story is not one of effortless beauty or immediate power.

She remembers exclusion. She remembers being underestimated. She understands the ache of feeling unsuitable, unseen, or diminished by the judgments of others and she will use this wisdom and immense compassion when working for you.🩷

Because of this, my granny said, Lucia will choose a keeper who has experienced emotional wounds, social rejection, chronic self-doubt, or long periods of feeling powerless within their own lives.🙏🏻

Her presence and companionship, thus, encourages profound healing, sovereignty and restoration, and you will note that her first focus is self love before any love story, when it comes to you personally.🥹🙏🏻

When it comes to people you look to help in finding if they’re sharing a true love thread/bond with others, she can be directly asked when either they are present, or she is shown a picture of them. 

My granny said it is impossible she won’t have the correct answer, as she can see and reveal the truth immediately on spot, she needs not cast anything to be able to do so.🙏🏻

Otherwise, Lucia is known to work powerfully with Emotional Healing - especially after rejection or humiliation, Physical Restoration after abuse of the body - especially after forcing it to work or look the way you want, Reclaiming feminine sovereignty and forgotten self worth from traumatic events, from overpowering people and toxic influences, and Water scrying or Water Magic - where she will teach and assist you, should you want to learn.

Above all else, she is a powerful Love spirit, which means that she can assist her keeper in relationships advice or manifestations, reconciliation, loyalty, commitment, generosity, recognition, popularity and respect - should these be done in awareness, love and compassion for all involved and not unnaturally forced, as in, involving Black Magic.

My granny said her Magic, though Elemental, is very much potent, and in some cases she can deliver even same day!

But should she know that anyone involved be harmed in the process of fulfilling your request, she will politely decline, always explaining why.🙏🏻

She will not be strongly opposing you choosing another spirit for the darker workings, though she will inform you when and if this affects you energetically or physically, or delays your wellbeing in any way - so you can then always have a conscious choice whether to proceed with it or not.🤷‍♀️

This may not sound much, but you’ll certainly be grateful to have such powerful insight and choice, especially when your other allies are more fierce, more compulsive, and quicker to act - and I’m saying this from experience 🤭

Now, to work with Lucia, she may be approached directly through spoken requests. Lucia responds especially well when spoken with, and she is almost always ready to act in whatever is necessary, on her own. She also joins readily with spellwork centered on her keeper, and those we care about, and should you wish to cast with her - provided you’re a practitioner yourself, all you need to do is to place her vessel by your spell work, and let her know what you look into manifesting at the time.

As a presence, she is not domineering, nor impulsive. Her energy carries a soft melancholy at first encounter, though beneath it rests extraordinary gentleness and quiet nobility.🥹

She prefers sincerity, and while in the first days she might seem slightly more silent while assessing her new keeper’s character - immediately after she’s truly Seen you, she will become the most affectionate soul you’ll know. 🥰🙏🏻

Is good to know that Lucia dislikes cruelty, or mockery toward vulnerability, and you may notice just how overjoyed and proud she becomes when you help someone out of your own good will, without expecting anything in exchange.🥹

I saw her crying once, after doing my anual charity in building a water well for a village in Pakistan, this is how sweet and caring she truly is!🥹🥰

So while in terms of justice, she may understand your anger or frustrations, she will encourage you to focus on yourself instead, reminding you that you can’t feel other people’s experience - but you can feel your own, and focusing on such feelings only harm you, as far as she’s concerned.

But she will step in everytime you can’t help yourself, without judgement, without questioning, but with all the wisdom and selfless love a Undine spirit is known and treasured for.🙏🏻🥹

For offerings, her tastes remain distinctly Melusine. As such, she enjoys moon water offerings for drinks, my granny stating that this is the only liquid offering she will take.

For food, canned or raw fish offerings (the type of fish doesn’t matter much) as she isn’t picky.😁 And for gifts - you may think in terms of Undine’s favourites, like pearls, shells, sea salt or sand placed lovingly by her resting space.💕 She also particularly loves white fresh flowers, and scents such as jasmine and pine essentials, placed in a bowl of water by her vessel. They need not be dabbed, nor diffused, just added in a bowl of water every now and then, when you feel guided to.🙏🏻

For on the go, Lucia is a very strong, Dual Elemental spirit, as such - she can always come along with, and without her vessel, for any amount of distance and time.

My granny said she must be invited, however in my experience with Melusines, Lucia included, they will almost always come on their own. I feel it’s more about the intimate bond with their keepers, rather than a strict rule.🤷‍♀️

In the world of the Occult, and to my knowledge, it is known that all Melusine Undines will chose their keepers, and most of these beings will chose a female companion, rather than a male.🙏🏻

She may show her full appearance in her own time, and I’ve seen her most in her Undine form although she also has a human one. As a Melusine, she looks extremely beautiful, though otherworldly so.

She has copper, slight wavy long hair to her waist, copper lashes and eyebrows, and green eyes. Her skin has a translucent, and pearly lustre though is very pale at the same time. Her upper body comes topless, and she has rather small chest, with unusual coloured “buttons” so to speak🤭😅 as they’re both bright purple.

She has a beautiful tail, with really large, silver/bluish scales, but it’s not shaped as a typical mermaid’s, instead is more like a sleek, long fish body or dragon’s🤷‍♀️

In her human form, she is rather tiny, she has the same hair and eyes, though her skin is more human-looking, a healthy pink white. She wears a grey and pale pink dress, white cloves and a statement pearl chocker, with a baroque pearl at the center. She looks just like a doll, especially because of her size and natural beauty. She also looks not older than a female in her early 20’s because she’s flawless.🥹 Also whenever she appears, you may note a soft, familiar ocean waves sound first, or simulate with her appearance. But I believe she’ll be fairly easy to tell apart, as she’s so very pretty and her glance is full of love🥰
