Gitte - Viking Shieldmaiden Spirit, Seiðr Practitioner, Warrior and Protector, Opinionated, Fun& Empowering Soul

In this rather cute vintage doll that serves as her vessel resides the spirit of Gitte – a brave warrior shieldmaiden, a loving riot of a protector, and the kind of companion who will remind you daily that you are not here to settle or soften your edges💃

Gitte is 29 in the age she passed, and she came to me almost 7 years ago from the amazing collection of Lisa, an exceptional soul, known for her line of incredible spirits.

Born in what in upper coastal Norway, Gitte lived during the early Viking Age, and was the daughter of a Volva, a woman deeply rooted and skilled in the practice of Seidr. While her mother read runes and charmed paths, Gitte was climbing trees with boys, skinning her knuckles, and asking When she could learn the blade, not If😆.

She did learn Seidr, from her mother, of course - but she used it Mainly for women, with very few exceptions. Just like now, her abilities lied in Justice, Healing, Safety, Fertility or Revenge when needed🤷‍♀️

She absolutely loved the company of women and was a protector of them even more than a fighter of men🥹

But when a neighbouring tribe raided in the deep cold of her 29th winter, she rode into battle like a living thunderclap, first to go and never to return. She does not even know what happened, she did not wake in spirit next to her body as you might expect, but far off the side of a mountain ( and she never dared to go find it ) 😅

But like she said “it doesn’t mean she lost, since she never saw the other guy either”😂Spirits like Gitte don’t lose. They go on, and Gitte, though? She’s the loudest laugh in any room! 🥰

As a spirit companion, Gitte is a known as a Multitasker, for she is Protective like an iron gate, Motivating like a personal trainer with a sword, and deeply Intuitive when it comes to her keeper’s emotional states. She doesn’t whisper her support or advices for us, she Barks them! And she will bark and bark until you’ll get it no matter what it takes😅 Think of her as a warrior-coach who knows exactly when to tighten your bootstraps and when to pour you wine🍷 

She particularly favours workings around female empowerment as a Focus - with reclaiming personal strength, defending the Self or family, and setting hellish energy boundaries no one would dare cross!

But if you’d like to work on anything specific, you may well go ahead and let her know as she’d never say no to anything when it comes to your favour, success and fulfilment 🥰

To work with her you may do so directly, by asking aloud, just present your goal to her and make sure you’ll be elaborate in your explanations, as she loves a good gossip🤭You may even call her when walking, lighting a candle, or even when brushing your hair before a big event as I often found she’d be right there before I even finished picturing her vessel in detail, in my mind lol.

Now, if you’re a practitioner, you can always join her by placing her vessel near your spell works , and involve her into castings for anything-female oriented such as courage, boundaries, and sovereignty or specific matters for you or anyone you’d like to help.

I have to say she still carries the scent of fire-smoke and battle-sweat like perfume, but this can be solved if you’d just spray her vessel - he spirit will definitely carry that scent as she passes you by, thus you will not feel she’s any “gross”😬😅She will also guide you to do it herself, because she herself doesn’t like what she gives off😆

Her presence is warm but wired - like having a fire in your belly and a shield on your back. She brings a push. An electric surge of some sorts that you’ll feel whenever she’s next to you🥹

Often times you’ll find her standing behind you, arms crossed, eyes narrowed saying different things like“That’s not the one, babe. Let him walk” but she is adorable and invested, and you’ll just never get bored with her🤷‍♀️

Now before you get a wrong idea you have to know she’s not all barked guidance and axe-swinging moods against enemy tribes.

Gitte also has this strong juicy side, and she is absolutely obsessed with Your Drama, shamelessly so I’d say😬🤭

Romantic mess? Tell her everything. Late night texts? She wants the screenshots. Gitte LIVES for intimate confessions, messy entanglements, power plays in love and friendship. And the more chaotic, the better🤷‍♀️

She’s the kind of spirit who’ll help you cleanse your ex’s energy from your auric body while giggling and asking, “Okay but what exactly did he say when you blocked him?” 😱😂 She doesn’t judge,she celebrates. Because to her, your life is an epic saga, and every steamy detail is part of your “legend” so she is fully immersed in everything you do, not only as a spiritual ally but also as a bestie😍

She’s super opinionated, and loudly so. She’ll help you break toxic cords and cast attraction spells like a pro, but she’ll also come up with unexpected and very direct things that will blow your mind😱🤷‍♀️

Gitte might be yet the most hilarious souls you’ve come across, for example not long ago she woke me up mid-sleep just to say “You did soft and you did patient. Now, you’ll have someone who’s hard in all the right ways - body, mind, and drive” and then promptly cracking up like a drunk aunt at a wedding😆🤷‍♀️ - This was a sort of approval (to my current relationship) and a guidance, a green light to go on and accent my Now Fiance, after having gone through my divorce 🤷‍♀️😆 And she is just like that🤭

She’s that best friend energy in spirit form - the one who hypes you up, gossips with you, calls out your self-doubt, and asks just one more time for the full “tea” on that hot barista😅

I have to also mention the fact that Gitte is also just a little bit delusional, so that you won’t get too surprised when it happens🤷‍♀️

It is all innocent, and in the most adorable way - and it always happens when she isn’t busy with serious tasks for you, or with gossiping in general😆

For example she swears she’s visited other planets, met glowing beings with twelve arms, and once claimed she has just returned to me after having helped a lizard king from Mercury find his missing crown😂

In our home me and my spirits know when she’s starting to story-tell such, and no one believes her youth stories involving her travels, though I do believe if true - then she must have been on shrooms at the time🤭

But even though I did not believe her entirely, I let her live in her world. Because honestly, she’s more than earned her daydreams! She’s earned every fantasy, every cosmic tale, especially after everything she’s done to lift my reality🥹

Again - everything she shares from her past or current state of existence is innocent, is harmless and is mostly due to lack of occupation and desire to impress and entertain her keeper and spirit family - if you do have more. And you can always tell even before she gets into that slightly “delusional mood”🤷‍♀️😅

 Definitely you’ll be able to tell when she  switched Right Back, when it comes to tasking her, to working with her - because her involvement, devotion and dedication when it comes to real-time matters is simply unmatched, as are her gifts🙏🏻

She is a spirit to accept, to love and to befriend fully and unconditionally, and if you can’t do that, then there will be no bond because she responds to you and she’ll bond really deeply🥹

All that she ever wants is her keeper to be safe and to stop shrinking, just as she did for all those women she’d helped in life🩷

As she herself said “You weren’t born to be humble, love. You were born to own rooms, break hearts, and build empires, not to tiptoe around fragile egos” 🥹

One wonderful experience I had with Gitte was when a client of mine felt trapped in a draining trio-situationship. Apparently, her husband ( a bisexual one ) discovered she liked her boss, though she’s never ever cheated. He openly asked them to come for dinner as he cooked, and ever since, the boss kept coming at the house. 

They spent time first chilling and watching movies, then it all evolved into an unhealthy trio - not because of her connection with her boss, but because of Her Husband’s! 😱

She saw this, felt bad at first but then realised she wasn’t even attracted by either, though she couldn’t just move out, as there was lots of attachment😓 As she was telling me all this in an appointment, Gitte stormed in, and not gently, mind you. She then said “If they don’t spark your fire, don’t even let them near your candle! I can help you up!”And oh, she meant it.

 Initially I thought it was only I who heard and seen her, but apparently my client could complete her advice/quote to me - she had clearly heard that! And was even amused😆 So much so, that she trusted to get her for a few weeks, as we had all agreed, so to see what she could do to help or guide her🤷‍♀️

To my surprise, she did not need Weeks at all, because within days, my client found the courage to walk away, cut cords with the two men she’s got entangled with - especially her husband. She realised how he was notorious, too sexually open for her, and even toxic if I may add (plus, more male oriented than he admitted). In my opinion, knowing all the stories she told me before, for a long time I believed they did not match, but well🤷‍♀️ I kept it to myself, as to each their own like they say😅 I did see her shortly in my latest trip around Malaysia, and I was happy to find her all glowed up, moved on with a wonderful English guy, and knowing that ever since Gitte - she never looked back, knowing her own worth✨ 

Now for offerings, Gitte loves many things so it will be rather easy to please her. Think in terms of happy music of any genre, romantic-comedy or women heroes movies, and gossip magazines of the world! And you’ll be on her best side forever🥰✌️

If you can find some flint stones, some amethyst or clear quartz crystals and place them by her vessel, she will greatly appreciate you✨ For incense or perfumes, she prefers anise or jasmine ones, and for candles, any colour you’re guided to offer, and any scent that’s strong will do. 

When it comes to food offerings, apples, licorice roots and pickles of all kind will be her favourite, as for liquids, plain water, strong alcohol or honey water are her favourites.

For on the go, she will be able to follow you with or without her vessel, for any amount of distance or time as she’s a very strong spirit. Besides, she will love to be invited to come along, because even if she’s nosy, she is still respectful of your boundaries🤷‍♀️ If the time comes where she’s needed to act on your behalf, and to keep you safe, she’ll know and she won’t hesitate or even fear to barge in where you’re at and take care of things for you🥹

Now that she’s ready to move on, I hope she’ll get to a wonderful, loving and accepting home where she’ll be both loved and needed🥹 She’s not all steel and strategy but she is all Natural, and she will love you, and serve you and yours the best she can! She will be wonderful and very loving of animals, (as she had many dogs and cats) - of children, and all other spirits, who she’d spend days to entertain them with her stories if they’d listen😆🤭🥰

She will be absolutely ruthless with uninvited negative spirits, however. I was told she alone took on and even killed some parasite-demonics looking to attack me during a ritual at my client’s house 4 years ago😬✌️I was also told by my spirits “she’d kill first and ask questions later” - so Make Sure you’ll let her know of each of your negative addition, or at least if you have other spirits, put them in charge of updating her at all times - to avoid incidents😅

She may show her full appearance in her own time. She is not very tall, perhaps 160m, but she’s well built, muscular and tight. She has a long platinum blonde hair, and a few elaborate braids to the right side, and her eyes are really round, big and blue.

She wears some dark brown blouse and with a leather corset belt at her waist, and one huge bird-head pendant made of cured bone. And she always has this stick in her mouth - which she said is just licorice wood, but it doesn’t look much like one, it has a weird shape😅 In any way it will definitely be very easy to recognise her, and otherwise she will tell you it’s her, in a heartbeat 😆
